April begins with Holy Week and Jesus’ walk to the cross. On Sunday morning, we celebrate Easter and Jesus’ resurrection. We rejoice that Christ is Risen and so we are called to share the good news. So many people today do not have hope for tomorrow. Maybe we can help them see the light of Christ in us that will lead them to see that the cross is empty on Easter morning and that is what gives us and them hope. Those who follow Jesus are promised forgiveness of sins and eternal life. That empty tomb and the empty cross prove that Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus is the savior of the world.
This Easter season, invite someone to pray with you. Invite a friend to the WELCA Salad Supper. Invite your neighbor to Classic Car Sunday. The world can not know what Jesus has done for them until they hear the story and experience God’s love for themselves. Be the vessel that tells the world that Christ is risen. He is risen indeed!
