Worship Service Offerings

Our service to the church and community is based upon the generousity of our church members. We accept donations through weekly service offerings and special appeals for projects throughout the year.

Memorials

You may designate Grace as the recipient of your loved one's memorial gifts. Many items for the church have been financed through Memorial Funds. The completion of the beautiful stained glass windows in the sanctuary and narthex is one example.

Estate Planning

Through estate planning some of our former members and friends of the congregation have generously donated to Grace. We appreciate and value their stewardship as many projects have been completed with these funds.

Scholarships

Grace offers two post-high school scholarships to applicants who are members of the congregation. Also offered are monies to help students attend church camp.

Fredrickson Scholarship: The "Olive and Harold Fredrickson College Scholarship Fund" was established in 2001 by Ronald Fredrickson, Duane Fredrickson, and Marlene Fredrickson Switzer in memory of their parents. In 2008, with the untimely death of Dr. Doren Fredrickson, son of Ronald and Pat Fredrickson, the Scholarship Fund was expanded to include Dr. Fredrickson's memorial. Scholarships through this fund are available to members of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Osage City, Kansas who are attending a Lutheran church sponsored college or seminary affiliated with any Lutheran Synod. The Congregation Council is responsible for managing the funds and selecting recipients. A student may be eligible to apply for this scholarship once a year for up to four years. The amount of the scholarship is dependent on funds available.

Hattie Fortune Scholarship: The “Hattie Fortune Scholarship Fund” was established in 2011 by her Estate. Scholarships through this fund are available to members of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Osage City, Kansas. The Congregation Council is responsible for managing the funds and selecting the recipients. There are no more than two scholarships awarded in any one school year. This scholarship is available to students who have completed at least one year at a college or technical school and have a GPA of 2.5 or greater. The amount of the scholarship is $500.00.

Camp Toma Shinga Scholarship: This scholarship is for youth who wish to attend Lutheran Church Camp and is funded by the Lutheran Men in Mission.
