Pastor Brenda Ulrich grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, she graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN in 1991 with a Major in Religion, and Minors in Psychology and Studio Arts. Pastor Brenda graduated from Luther Seminary in 1996 with a Master of Divinity and a focus on youth ministry. She was ordained in 1996 with a call to serve Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL. She has served churches in Illinois and Kansas, including Christ Lutheran, Americus Presbyterian, and Grace United Methodist in Emporia.

Pastor Brenda has been married to Mark for 25 years. They have four children. Sydney graduated from OSU and works in Oklahoma City. Austin graduated from Ft. Hays State University and is going to graduate school in West Virginia. Caelan is a sophomore at Northwest Missouri State and Marek is a junior at Emporia High School. Pastor and Mark keep busy keeping up with and attending their kids’ activities!

Pastor Brenda likes to craft, sew, quilt, paint, read and do anything creative and artistic in her spare time. She enjoys hiking and walking in nature, camping and riding ATV’s in the mountains.
